Wow, I've almost forgotten how to do this it's been so long, but the sun is shining, the mosquitos are biting, and school is done for a while. I talked to my friend Julie yesterday and told her I hadn't blogged in a while and she said, " I noticed". So, I guess I better catch up. :)
I have already completed one sports camp this summer and I've got one more to go. I'm also teaching about two weeks of summer school and going out to White River Youth Camp. I will be heading out to camp on June 13 so any one who would like to see me or eat lunch with me (Jenn and Larissa) will have to do it before then. I love going out to camp, but I would kind of just like to relax at home, go to the pool, plant some flowers and hang out with my teacher friends who don't have to work. Sorry about all you other suckers who thought it would be fun to work all year.
The kids are doing great! Kaden is getting so big, we call him Ponson (sp) which is Spanish for chubby. And he is definitely chubby. Michael says he has more rolls than a bakery. Julie kind of caught me up on the news going around and I can't believe I have missed so much. Congrats to Cari Faver on getting married soon and Larissa... I had no idea you had already had your little one. I can't wait to catch up with your blog and see you.
Well, I don't have any recent pics of the kids since Easter, but I know I will have tons from camp so I will keep you updated. And you should check out the camp website, it's pretty cool for a non-profit podunk camp like WRYC. www.whiteriveryouthcamp.com Hope to see you all soon, love you guys.

Sickly
Well, I'm at home with poor Kaden today. He has been running a temp for several days and it's soooo sad. It's so hard to comfort them when you don't know what's wrong. He has a Dr. appt. this afternoon so maybe we can figure something out. He has been very fussy and had a poor appetite the last couple of days. The fussing and not eating are so far from his nature that it's kind of worrying me. I hope it's nothing serious. Kalynn had strep throat a couple of weeks ago and I hope he hasn't contracted it.
Well...hooray for my softball team. They are now Area Champs and will play for Regional Quaterfinals this weekend. I really am proud of them, they have overcome a lot of adversity this year and their attitudes are great. As much as I'm ready for a rest, I will be a little sad not to see them every day. They make me smile!!
We bought a new car this weekend, we took the plunge into minivans and got a Honda Odyssey. It's very cool, as far as minivans go, it has the automatic doors, DVD player, and lots of space.
Well, I don't have much time. I've got to take my little one to the Dr. Love to all!

At Last...
Well, I know it's been forever since my last blog. I'm not sure any of you are still reading these. Sad to say, not much has happened in the lives of the Jimenez's since March 1. Kaden is now three months old and getting fat. Kalynn was never fat, not even a little chunky, so all of this dead weight is new to us. I'll include some pics so all of you can view our cuties.
I started weight watchers about four weeks ago and started walking with a friend of mine from school last week. I've lost 8 pounds, I know it doesn't sound like much, but I'm on my way. I've still got a lot to go. This really is a struggle for me so all of your prayers are much needed.
For those of you that know Amy...she is doing well. She really loves her job at Roosevelt, as an aid. She got almost a perfect on her evaluation and we were very happy about that. She was so excited. And we were ecsatic that she shared it with us and wanted our "approval".
My softball days are nearing their end, but my team is doing great. It's kind of bitter sweet, I'm soooo ready to have some free time, but I want the team to do well and win. We became Bi-district champs as of Saturday and we play for Area in Pecos this Thursday and Friday. For those that don't know, I will not be doing softball next year. I willl actually have a season off next year. I'm so ready.
Kaden is starting to smile, laugh, and make noises. He his laying beside me in bed right now just talking and smiling at who know what . He was screaming and crying just a few minutes ago in the same position. Babies are so funny.
I wanted to ask all of those who read this to keep some friends of ours from Sundown in your prayers. I really dont' feel comfortable posting their personal problems on my blog, but just know that they need prayers of healing, strength, and unwavering faith right now. We all know the power of prayer can be life changing and they could really use some power right now.
Work has been really well since going back, of course I'm always ready for Summer, but I've really enjoyed being back at school adn interacting with fellow teachers and students.
I hope to be blogging more in the near future and trying to keep up with everyone. I'm really behind on writing and reading blogs..
I must run and get some beauty sleep now, I need all I can get!! Love to all, hope to hear from you soon.

Back to Work
Well, I've decided to go ahead and go back to work on Monday. The decision is a bitter sweet one, I'm ready to see my students and have some adult interaction again, but it is sad knowing how busy I will become and how little I will be able to see my husband and kids, as well as some of the friends I've been fortunate to see a couple of times over the last few weeks. But, such is life.
My time at home has been wonderful and I just hope I will still be able to keep in touch with those I've reconnected with and find more time in the near future for those I love.
Kaden is doing very well and I feel confident about leaving him with the lady who will be keeping him. Kalynn is very excited that brother will be coming to stay with her during the day. Please pray for all of us as we make this transition. The next few weeks will be emotional and probably somewhat stressful. Pray that I keep my sanity and don't let my raging hormones rage out against Michael. Poor guy, he always gets the brunt of my emotions and hormones.
Thanks for your prayers.

Home Alone
Maternity leave is wonderful! It's amazing how much stuff you get done and how on track your life feels when you don't have to work. I've paid all my bills (on time), my house is straight, I'm involved with Kalynn's school, I'm getting reacquainted with old friends through my space and blogging. I get time to sit and think and hold Kaden. Life would be great if I never had to work again.
I am feeling better now than I have felt in a really long time, physically and emotionally. I think it's because all of my thoughts and feeling are on God and family. Something that is really hard to do when you are working full-time. I know most of you don't have the time to take six weeks off of work, but if you ever have a chance, I would suggest it. And if you do, for maternity leave or whatever, then take advantage of the time you have. I took for granted the time I had with Kalynn and kick my self for it now.
I've been amazed at some of the things I've been reading on other people's blogs. They are so encouraging, inspiring, and eye opening. It has been great to reevaluate the life I have and the people who are in it. I thank God for this time He has given me and I pray that I will remember it when I go back to work and life becomes stressful again.
A quick prayer request: for those of you that know my sister Amy, just pray that God will give her peace and comfort and that she will let Him reign in her life.

First Timer
Well, I'm very new to all this my space and blog stuff, but I feel like I'm so disconnected from the people I have called friends and grown to love over the years. I hope this will help me keep in touch with the people I miss so much.
I have already been amazed at the things I have learned about people that I might have never known. I just hate that I've missed out on so much of their lives and haven't been the friend to them I always wanted to be.
For those of you who haven't heard or seen from me in a while this is what's happening in our lives. I married Michael Jimenez from Abilene. We have two wonderful children and we are both school teachers and coaches. Michael is working for LISD at Hutch Middle School and I'm working for Lubbock-Cooper ISD at the High School. Kalynn is 3 yrs old and goes to T/TH school at Sunset CofC. Kaden is just 3 wks old and doing great. He has been such a joy so far. I don't know about the rest of you parents are, but I kind of took Kalynn being so little for granted. I'm really enjoying holding, hugging, and goo gooing over Kaden. Something I wish I would have done more with Kalynn.
For all of you "old" Kappa girls I saw at MF weekend, I love you. And I didn't realize how much I had missed all of you until I was with you. I have thought a lot about you over the last week and just want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
